Rocket Barbershop is a boutique East London barbers in its second year of business. Rocket's use of traditional barbering techniques, adorned interior and the raw energy of the staff inspired me to create a short film to capture their story.

I set myself the challenge to avoid using focus-pulls, tracking shots and handheld camera, in an attempt to stay true to the simplicity of the tradition of barbering. The employment of the static camera explores the perspective of the customer, enabling the focus to be on the content and aesthetic, over style.
